The number one sticking point for bloggers, it would seem, is entirely disconnected to the ability to write; to promote, and extend personal brand.
The number one sticking point is content.
So 90% of blogs die in the first three months. I hazard a guess that the reason – aside from the odd narcissistic decaptivation or suicide at pixelpoint – is because people simply run out of things to say.
It needn’t, shouldn’t be that way. And if we as a community can gather in support of every individual who loves and lives (in part) for blogging, it won’t, again.
Here’s what happens from here:
- You get in touch, tell me a little about your blog. You can drop a comment in below, if you like. Or you might want to contact me since this post may well turn into a page and, well, comments aren’t activated for pages (and the last thing I want to do is lose you). Tell me why you created your blog; what your goal is (don’t forget, your blog is a business and it needs to be structured – whether it’s a personal diary or a way to connect and get meaningful with a wider audience). Finally: what your biggest challenge is, as a blogger. This can be anything at all – just let it rip.
- Every Monday, we’ll announce the blog to be showcased. This is a chance for readers to take a browse around, get a feel of your sphere. To get some ideas together. To help.
- Every Wednesday, we’ll totally rock your world. With the power of community and more than a little help from me, we’ll disassemble your blog, buff it up, add some caffeine and a tote of pure adrenaline and sew it back together, all glistening and ready to conquer your – eek – niche.
- We podcast. If you like, we can get together on a call and review the revolution. An amiable chat, some simple discourse on what works, why it works, and the all important metrics. For the better? And the circle is complete.
Why?
Because we can. Because we want to. Because whether we know it yet, or not, we’re all doing this for the same reason. To share what we know with the world. To make this place a little better, day by day.
There’s no charge, no pain, no pressure. It’s just The Bloggers Workshop – and you’re invited to session number one.
Ready? Get in touch. Together, we can make it happen…
